32 Healthy Honey Recipes to Sweeten Your Day | With a unique taste, all-natural honey is a delicious way to flavor everything from sweet breakfast treats and baked goods to savory mains and side dishes.

Disclosure: I was given free samples of honey to taste and share with my readers. I was not compensated to write this post.

With a unique and exquisite taste, all-natural honey is a delicious way to flavor everything from sweet breakfast treats and baked goods to savory mains and side dishes.

Containing trace amounts of vitamins and minerals, along with antioxidants {buckwheat honey has been found to contain similar amounts of antioxidants per gram as some fruits and vegetables}, honey is one of the natural sweeteners I always have stocked in my pantry.

Less is More…

As with all sweeteners though, sweeten subtly, as honey still raises blood sugar levels, and will contribute to undesired weight gain when consumed in excess. Truly, less is more when in comes to savoring the delicious flavor of these 32 healthy honey recipes!

  1. I basically use honey as my sweetener for ANYTHING, but I recently read that maple syrup could be a better alternative. But I really love this list of food! Need to try them out soon. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Alisa~Thanks so much for your sweet comment! I use both honey and maple syrup in my recipes, and think they are both delicious. I do work with a lot of clients with IBS, and for them honey may not be the best option because it may cause digestive discomfort, but for everyone else, it’s a delicious natural sweetener to enjoy-on moderation of course 🙂 Cheers!

  2. Too many great recipes! It’s going to take a while to work through them all…. I also think the honey garlic chicken will be the first on the list to try.

Blake and the rest of the crew at Desert Creek put out a mighty fine product as well. Almost as good as mine (haha) from my two hives last year! He was the outgoing President of the Texas Beekeepers Association this past year when I started beekeeping and I can’t say enough good things about him and the other commercial beekeepers that help to educate us beginners.

  3. I am most interested in the recipe for the honey garlic chicken. My favorite way to eat honey is on a pb sandwich.

  4. As a vegan who eats honey (very contested issue!), it’s wonderful to see smaller, ethical companies being featured! I can’t wait to try the chickpea and tofu recipes!!

  5. All of these recipes look delicious! I’m a baker and cannot wait to make some of those blueberey-orange honey cupcakes. Yummy!

  6. I would like to try several of the recipes but I can say my daughter and I have come to love the favored honey sticks!

  7. my favorite way to enjoy honey for its full flavor is simply on some buttered toast. so simple but delicious!

  8. I try to have some honey most days because the natural sweetness is bound to rub off or stick to me during the day, boosting my energy all morning. The Honey Vanilla Almond Milk looks like a winner. I was glad to see recipes for adding honey to the rest of the day like the Honey Whiskey Roasted Pecans! Thanks for sharing.

I love using honey in baking, with drinks and pretty much anything else as far as food is considered! I’m not sure which one I want to try most because there are several I haven’t tried. I would love to try this brand! I have to check it out!

  10. I would make the Honey Garlic Chicken to start with. My favorite way to eat honey is to pour it over Greek yogurt.

  11. What a wonderful collection!!
EVERY recipe sounds delicious. I like the savoury ones with tamari and honey mixture but confess that the Orange Honey Cheescake bars sound amazing!!
I cannot enter your give-a-way as I am not in the USA but wish you every success!

  12. My favorite recipe with lots of honey is Baklava!
The Honey, I Love You Bars sound good, too!

  13. I may be the worst RDN ever, but do you know I’ve never purchased honey. I mean EVER in my life. I feel like this needs to change, because there are so many recipes above I want to make! I really am eyeing Alex’s Tofu in that photo, partially because I vowed more tofu this month and have it in my fridge! And, it looks delish too! 🙂

  14. We have an old family recipe called honey cakes and we usually make them around Christmas. I have never seen anything like them, we make them in loaf pans and they are pretty dense and have walnuts and candied cherries in them and they are so good.

  15. All these recipes sound delish, I’m totally in love with fresh figs and would like to try the Honey-Orange Glazed Figs, and have them over Greek yogurt, although I do like cottage cheese as the recipe uses.

  16. I LOVE honey! So happy to see so many creative ways to use it in food other than my usual ones. But I think the Honey Whiskey Roasted Pecans may be next on my list! And thanks for including our Honey Whole Wheat Sandwich Buns in the round-up!

  17. I’ve not heard of this brand of honey from Texas before! Of course, I’m still a newcomer to Texas. I use honey for a large variety of dishes. And drinks! I use honey to sweeten my tea at work. One of my favorite ways to use honey is in my sweet sesame green beans recipe which I make at least once, if not two times, a week as a side dish to have with our meals.

  18. I couldn’t love this post more! And man, I want to make every single recipe – may as well start with your Lassi – yum. Ever time I travel, I try to bring back a jar of the local honey – I haven’t tried any variety from Texas yet – fun to read about Desert Creek Honey 🙂
