Have you ever had a childhood song pop in to your head at the most unexpected time? That’s what happened to me today after I polished off my first {of many} one of these amazing, melt-in-your-mouth Pepper Jack Stuffed Mushrooms.

The song that came to mind?

The Farmer in the Dell!

Do you remember that one?

I asked both my kids if they remembered it, and SiSi did {after I sang her a few lines} but Big Tex had no clue what I was talking about. Sheesh….I’m feeling like a seriously slacking mama right now!

But back to the line that popped in to my head…

It was “The cheese stands alone.”

This Cabot Creamery Pepper Jack Cheese makes a divine filling for these Pepper Jack Stuffed Mushrooms. #AD

  2. I love mushrooms (Fried is my all time favorite) and I LOVE Pepper jack cheese I buy it by the block and have the store slice it and I end up eating it all by my self 5 pounds lasts me a while though lol.

But I was curious when you put the stuff in the mixing bowl and mix until it’s all incorporated are you using an actual mixer or just say a wooden spoon? Didn’t want to use an electric mixer if I wasn’t supposed to πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Kelli! A regular old fork, or mixing spoon works perfectly here πŸ™‚ Hope you give them a try-I’d love to hear what you think! Cheers!!

  3. This is exactly the sort of food that my extended family guzzle down at get togethers, I love how simple ans scrumptious they are! X

    1. Thank you Viviane!! I love all of Cabot’s cheeses, but this was my first time trying the Pepper Jack, and I will definitely be adding it to my regular cheese line up from now on πŸ™‚

  4. EA these look perfect for Sunday’s game! I want to eat them all up. Love mushrooms any which way and these look like a must-try.

  5. Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods and one of the top eaten foods in my house — how have I never tried stuffed mushrooms?! These sound so good and it’s simply unacceptable that I’m not already eating them πŸ˜€

    1. Hi Kelly! It really i unacceptable that you haven’t tried stuffed mushrooms before πŸ™‚ I hope you love them as much as I do!

  6. Oh how I adore mushrooms!! And cheese!! However with no cheese in our dairy free house I don’t get it all that often. I’m saving this one for when I’m home alone one night and I will call it dinner!

    1. Another mushroom lover! I knew I liked you πŸ™‚ Hope you get to make them soon, OR next time I make them you should come over. Promise to share!

  7. You’re a mushroom lovin’ gal after my own heart Deanna! Funny story-When I was writing this post yesterday, I asked Big Tex if he liked the photos. His response? “Yeah. It looks good, but there’s no way I would ever eat that!” Clearly he did not inherit his Mama (and Papa’s) love of mushrooms, BUT, both Mr. Spicy and my BFF tasted them, and gave them 4 big thumbs up πŸ™‚
