These no-bake chocolate chip energy bites were inspired by Hail Merry Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites? Have you tried them? They’re really yummy, but like so many other ready-to-eat treats and snacks, pretty pricey. So I decided to make my own version, and, darn’ they’re really tasty too!

Even better, my chocolate chip enerby bites have twice as much protein and almost half the amount of sugar as my competitor. Win, win!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • HEALTHY TREAT – Each energy bite is less than 150 calories, has 5 grams of protein, and only 4 grams of sugar.
  • QUICK & EASY – Got five minutes and all the ingredients. Lucky you! You can be eating these chocolate chip energy bites in a jiffy!
  • BUDGET FRIENDLY– My energy bites are just as delicious as the Hail Merry version, but a lot friendlier on your wallet!

Ingredients for No-Bake Chocolate Chip Energy Bites

  • Almond flour. For the best texture, choose a super-fine almond flour, like Bob’s Red Mill fine almond flour.
  • Protein powder. Some of my favorite options include: Naked brown rice protein, Noosh almond protein, or
  • Almond oil. I used almond oil in keeping with the almond theme. Avocado oil or expeller-pressed high-oleic sunflower oil also work well.
  • Pantry staples. Pure maple syrup and salt.
  • Dark chocolate chips.
