Chai Apple Pie Healthy Mug Cake
Cake for breakfast! This healthy mug cake w/ apples & chai spices, is SO delicious & easy to make. Serve it with yogurt for a protein packed breakfast or nourishing treat!

- Not only is it delicious, but it’s pretty darn healthy too, with 7 grams of microbiome friendly fiber & 10 grams of protein per serving.
- It’s SO easy to make. Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, you can be digging into this healthy mug cake in less than 10 minutes. Promise!
How to Make a Healthy Mug Cake
- Place all your ingredients in a microwave safe mug & cook for ~ 2 minutes.
- EAT!!!
Chai Apple Pie Healthy Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon expeller pressed high oleic sunflower oil*
- 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 apple with skin, core removed, and finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons fine almond flour
- 1 teaspoon psyllium husk powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Crack egg in a microwave safe, medium or large mug, and stir well with a fork.
- Add oil, maple syrup, vanilla, and chopped apples, and stir well.
- Add almond flour, psyllium husk powder, spices, and salt, and stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- Place mug in microwave, and cook on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir ingredients with a fork, then cook for an additional 30 seconds. Serve while warm.
