Lavender Mint Tea…Fresh from the Garden.
This lavender mint tea is a refreshing & delicious way to stay hydrated! Make a big batch, store it in the fridge, and enjoy it all summer (or winter!) long.
When life gives you fresh lavender and mint in the garden, it’s a perfect opportunity to make Lavender Mint Tea!
The beauty of this herbal tea is that it’s equally delicious hot in the winter and cool in the summer.
And, living in San Diego, I can enjoy it both hot and warm year-round.
I don’t typically have a green thumb, but I’ve been able to grow lavender in my courtyard. And the mint-I keep it in a pot so it doesn’t overtake everything else. If you’ve grown mint before, you know what I mean!

I’m not sure everything will still be alive next year, LOL, but at least I get to enjoy this delicious, refreshing Lavender Mint Tea. I hope you’ll join me in a cup!

Lavender Mint Tea

I love this receipe and wanted to share some personal favorites of mine.
Lemon&Ginger Tea w/ honey
Peel and coin slice a thumb size piece of fresh ginger in a 1Q jar, fill jar 3/4 w/ boiling water. Cover for 1hr. Pour 1/2C of tea in a cup or bowl or pot to heat slightly for a few seconds, overheating will destroy the benefits of the honey. Add 1/4C local honey to warmed water, stir to combine. Cut in half 1 large lemon, strain the juice and add to the jar. Add honey, mix. This is wonderful in summer or winter. If you want hot tea, pour directly in your cup and microwave slightly. If you’re concerned about heating the honey again, leave it out if the jar instead and add it directly to your cup. For iced tea, I fill a 2Q jar with ice and pour the finished tea over it.
Infused waters
Strawberry basil
BlackBerry sage
Cucumber, lemon, mint

Hi Missi. So sorry for my late reply, but I want to thank you for your comment, and I LOVE your Ginger & Lemon Tea Recipe. I have a lemon tree and love anything ginger flavored, so I definitely want to try this. I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!
Wow! Awesome post for the tea lover. I also love tea and drink tea more than 3 times every day. But this lavender mint tea is new for me. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Definitely will try it.
How much mint should be used? Your recipe just says “s cups.” I look forward to trying it this summer, after my herbs wake up from their winter nap here in Utah.
Hi Gayle~Great question! I just edited the typo-it should be about 2 cups 🙂 Hope your herbs are enjoying there winter nap!
I love the taste and fragrance of lavender tea! My mom used to give me a box of lavender mint tea every other week when we were still living together in New York. I really missed that. I would love to try this recipe you shared. And I’m hoping for more recipes to come! Thanks for sharing!
I love this natural tea you made and thanks so much for the link love! Have a fantabulous weekend =D!
I love the sound of lavender mint tea. It sounds so refreshing!
I love picking out fresh herbs but I always seem to kill them!!
It is super refreshing! We’re (hopefully) putting in a rooftop garden this summer, and I’m looking forward to planting lots of veggies and herbs. I cant say I’m much of a green thumb either, but there’s always hope 🙂
4qoZ3J I’m not easily impressed. . . but that’s impressing me! 🙂
This would’ve been before for the talk I did last night on sleep tips (need a little lemon verbena though). Love the garden photos. This tea sounds great too bad we’re not on iced tea yet.
So funny you mention lemon verbena as I was looking for that at the nursery, but no luck this time…Hopefully you’ll have some “iced” tea weather soon!
