1/2ouncefresh ginger approximately 2 tablespoons; peeled & cut into small chunks
Instructions
Chop pears in to small chunks, {no need to be precise since the pears will be pureed/blended} and place in medium to large saucepan. Pour orange juice over pears and add chunks of ginger to the pan. Bring to a boil, then place lid on pan and simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove pears from remaining liquid {discard ginger chunks first}, and place in a blender or food processer. Blend/process until desired consistency is achieved.
Serve warm, or let cool before serving.

Serving Suggestions:
Serve this orange ginger pear sauce up straight {warm is extra delicious} or try it mixed in to cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, or oatmeal. Or, for an extra decadent, yet still somewhat healthy treat, mix warm pear sauce into fresh ricotta cheese. Yum!
