  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup whole milk yogurt , unsweetened use low fat yogurt if desired
  • 1/2 cup fresh ginger thinly sliced
  • 4 whole fresh peaches pitted, skinned and cut into chunks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Pinch salt

  • 2 scoops Ginger Peach Frozen Yogurt {above}
  • 1/2 cup peach juice
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water i.e. Ayala Ginger Lemon Peel Sparkling Water

  • To make the frozen yogurt: Combine the milk and sliced ginger in a saucepan and heat until almost boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Pour milk and ginger over strainer in to a blender.
  • Add the yogurt, chopped peaches, sugar, and pinch of salt to the blender and combine until smooth.
  • Place mixture in refrigerator until cool.
  • Follow manual per ice cream maker instructions. I used a Cuisinart Ice -20 and after 20 minutes, my frozen yogurt was soft serve consistency. I transferred it to the freezer for 2hours for a firmer consistency for the float.
  • To make the float: Scoop ice cream in to glass and top with peach juice and sparkling water.
