Place the cantaloupe cubes in a blender, and blend, on high speed, until liquified. Cut the limes in half and squeeze them into the cantaloupe juice, and add maple syrup and blend until well combined.
For each mojito or mint sparkler, tear up 10 mint leaves in to a glass and muddle them with a muddler. Divide the cantaloupe juice mixture amongst the 4 glasses and pour the juice over the muddled mint.
Add 2 ounces rum to each glass if making mojitos, and stir to combine with the juice.
Top each glass with 1/2 cup sparkling water and add ice to chill. Add fresh mint on top to garnish.
Try mint or other flavored, unsweetened sparkling water in place of plain sparkling water.
