You’ll LOVE these healthy school lunch ideas + our new family favorite MANGO CHICKEN SALAD WRAPS. P.S. Even better, your kids will too!

Mango Chicken Salad Wraps + More Healthy School Lunch Ideas Your Kids Will Love! | Spicy RD Nutrition @thespicyrd Today’s post is quick and dirty since we just returned from a family trip to June Lake {camping} and Yosemite, and I’ve got heaps of dirty laundry to do, back-to-school shopping for SiSi and Big Tex {they head back on the 30th, and, yes, I’m ready}, plus, that-thing-called-work.

Oh, and I’m still not quite up to speed after having my back seize up on me on day 3 of our trip…

Parker Lake Trail, Eastern Sierra's California | Favorite Hiking TrailsThese photos were taken “pre-back pain” on our hike to Parker Lake in the Eastern Sierra’s. If you are camping around June Lake, like we did, this is a fabulous hike-only about 3 1/2 miles, and you are rewarded by a dip in gorgeous Parker Lake once you reach the end of the trail!

After the hike, the kids and I went paddle boarding on June Lake {so fun!}, and those 2 things, combined with sleeping in a tent for 2 nights, are probably what did me in.

Don’t feel sorry for me though, because I can’t think of any better place to take away the pain, than here …

Hiking, swimming, and taking in the gorgeous sights in Yosemite and Wawona | The Spicy RD Blog

Can you???

I hadn’t been back to Yosemite since I was 15, and it still takes my breath away. And, although we didn’t do the Panorama Trail hike, as planned, we managed a much shorter hike to Taft Point and The Fissures {a little bit sketchy w/o any railings, but gorgeous views}, took in the views of Half Dome from Glacier Point, and the kids had a blast jumping off the rocks & swimming in the Merced River while I cooled off my feet in the river while sipping wine at the swimming hole in Wawona.

See. I told you not to feel sorry for me 🙂

Back to these Mango Chicken Salad Wraps…

But I had to share these Mango Chicken Salad Wraps with you, because they got 4 thumbs up from SiSi and Big Tex, and, are seriously SO easy to make! And, if you aren’t making lunch for kids, these are 100% adult approved too!
