This dairy free mocha made with almond milk and cinnamon, is a decadent, yet heart healthy treat. Sip and savor this delicious coffee drink anytime you’re craving a healthy indulgence!
In honor of National Almond Day {February 16}, I made this dairy free mocha with almond milk, plus freshly brewed cinnamon coffee, antioxidant rich cocoa, and almond extract.
It really is a rich and creamy, yet healthy indulgence.
Not only does this dairy free mocha warm you up on the inside, but in a nod to American Heart Month, it also soothes your ticker with a dose of heart healthy nutrients from coffee, cocoa, and almonds.
Psst…
It tastes delicious too!
Dairy Free Mocha with Cinnamon & Almond Milk
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coffee brewed with cinnamon {Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon to your coffee grounds before brewing}
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder {non alkalized}
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- Sweetener of choice to taste {I used 2 teaspoons erythritol to sweeten my mocha}
Instructions
- Heat almond milk on the stove top or in a microwave until hot. Pour it in to a mug or glass and stir in cocoa powder until dissolved. Add coffee to mug/glass then add almond extract and sweetener according to taste. Serve with straw if desired. Note: If drinking from straw, make sure the mocha is not TOO hot before sipping!

One of my favorite snacks is string cheese and a few almonds.
I love to eat almonds out of hand. And thank you for the chance to win the cute straws. They’d make any drink special.
I’m not entering giveaway, HOWEVER, I want to thank you for these almond flour recipes! We just got some in at work and I’ve been MEANING to make something with it!! The baked chicken with pesto sounds amazing!!
Oh, and of course the mocha rocks my world! Can’t wait to try it. I didn’t even know 2/16 was NAtional Almond Day.
I saw these photos on Pinterest and was drawn to them. My kids only drink almond milk and they would devour this. Also love the festive straws!
Lovely Drink!!!!
You know I love eating my almond raw with some honey…. yummm….
B/W these straws are so cute….
nice looking drink wish I liked flavored coffee drinks have a great weekend EA
Those straws are so cute!! I love almond milk and almond butter!!
My favorite way to eat almonds is roasted! I make my own cinnamon sugar almonds by throwing them together with an egg white, cinnamon, brown sugar, and then roasting them until they’re a nice deep brown color and super crunchy. I throw them in my oatmeal in the morning or sometimes I use them to make my own granola.
I would love to win a box of straws! They’d add some color to my kitchen and they’ll make my drinks look so fun!
These straws are adorable and my kids would be impressed that they are recyclable! Our favorite way to eat almonds is right out of the jar. Such a handy go to snack,
Love this. I just pinned it and have to try it. I’m obsessed with almond milk. I like how you specified non-alkalized cocoa powder.
We just made a red pepper almond sauce for the cooking class I conducted and I just adored it; sadly I can’t post it because I don’t have any photos so I’ll make it soon. You gotta try the sauce if you love almonds. Thanks for sharing this lovely drink π
A nice warm treat perfect for this time of the year!!I love the cinnamon in there.Makes it even better π
Love the straws,biodegradble, soy ink and super cute π
Sounds delicious and the straws are adorable! I like to sprinkle sliced almonds on top of a whole grain waffle that has been smothered in yogurt and unsweetened applesauce.
So fun! I love how you take a simple delicious recipe and make it shine in your photos π
Those straws would make me want to drink anything! Such a nice giveaway you’re doing. If I don’t win, I may have to go out and buy a box for myself anyway!
What a great, healthy treat. I love this!
Coincidentally, we have a bowl of almonds in the shell on the coffee table with a nut cracker! So whenever we want to do mindless snacking, we reach for the almonds!
The straws are adorable!!
And love the cinnamon almond mocha. I add cinnamon to my coffee too!! Love the flavor =)
my favorite is roasted unsalted almond butter (fresh pressed). π love putting it in my oats, quinoa, etc. or just eating it by the spoonful. those straws are adorable! so cute.
and i love the idea of putting cinnamon in coffee. never thought about that before! this is my kind of drink!
I love spreading almond butter on my apple slices. Mmm! And these straws are SO cute! I’m in love! π Thank you for the giveaway!
shame on kirkland, they should reimburse you. I adore these straws. As much as I love my glass Strawsome straws they aren’t as portable. Loving this recipe too. I love almond extract in smoothies. Enjoy roasting almonds with rosemary and slivered almonds for texture in grains. Off to tweet this.
Not entering but geez, I gaze at your photographs and wonder if I’ll ever “get it”. I’m going to copy you though! π
How cute are those straws?! I usually like to put a little chocolate almond milk in my morning coffee. Your recipe sounds great! I enjoy roasted almonds plain, in salads, or as a protein coating π
I honestly love love whole almonds raw, I eat them everyday:-) My favorite snack when traveling:-) Since all I drink is almond milk, this looks and sounds DELISH!!! Love that the straws are biodegradable and with soy ink, how fun! Sending hugs, Terra
I love almonds in salads and also love them dusted with a little cinnamon and brown sugar, browned and toasted in the oven. Almond butter is also a nice treat, but can’t indulge in too often because of my niece and nephew’s severe peanut and tread but allergies.
βThese straws are so dang cute, I really want to win a box!β π I also love almonds in the form of butter! I make almond nut butter on a regular basis…good right out of the bag too but they have to be roasted…I really don’t care for the raw, too chewy.
I LOVE YOUR DRINKS…THEY are so dang cute and so easy to make,huh?
Your give a way is a super fun idea, I love it! π
ooh, your mocha looks absolutely delicious! my favorite way to eat almonds is just straight up, roasted. yum!
I love using colorful straws especially when I drink smoothies. Kikkerland has some cute designs. Currently we have the red and white peppermint swirl looking ones. I truly love your blog. Great recipes and beautiful photography. Hope to meet you someday!
Kate
what a fun drink!
These are the cutest straws ever. I want to try out this Cinnamon Almond Mocha recipe, but I’m not sure it it will work with my Keurig since I would have to add the cinnamon afterwards. I’ll try it out though!
My current favorite way to eat almonds is by boiling them, scraping off the skin, and then tossing with olive oil, cumin, cayenne pepper, and whatever other spices I feel like!
