Liquid Sunshine~aka Freshly Squeezed Citrus Juice
Todays post is short, but sweet…
With a hint of sour I adore so much in my citrus juice!
I’m trying hard to fight this monster creature cold coming on.
And, I don’t know if this glass of liquid sunshine will come to my rescue…
But surely I’ll have fun trying!
Here’s my liquid remedy…
Cara Cara Oranges, Tangerines, and Meyer Lemons make for a delicious vitamin & antioxidant packed juice. Sniffles be gone!!!
Have you succumbed to any bugs lately? Do you make your own juices? If so, what’s your favorite concoction? What’s the first thing you do when you feel a cold coming on???

wow, this is wonderful and healthy, beautiful photos
Thanks Suzanne!!!
I make a lot of green juices (always with a lemon added), and I also drink lemon water every morning.
I know my hubby would love this juice. Your picture is so pretty!
Thanks Andrea! I’ve been doing lots of lemon water too in the morning & I made a green juice the other day with swiss chard, carrots, orange, lemon, and something else…I can’t remember
I’ve inherited a yucky cold from my daughter but fighting it off with my Beetroot Zinger juice as well as loads of freshly squeezed blood oranges – I can’t get enough of these oranges. Your combo sounds brilliant! Love your zingy cloth too
Beetroot Zinger? Yes, please!!! I hope we both feel better soon
This juice looks so refreshing!! These are times I wish I had a juicer.
I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Thanks so much Kristen
The juicer had been on my wish list for awhile and Mr. Spicy bought it for me for my last birthday. I dont use it as much as my blender, but I usually concoct something at least a couple of times a week-love trying out different fruit and veggie combos!
This looks so refreshingly good!!! And with all the lovely citrus at the markets, I want to make good use of it. Thanks for this!
I’ll take a glass please looks so good
This is a GREAT post in light of yesterdays news on the risk of vitamin C supplements and kidney stones. LOVE the sunny photos!!!
I do juice!! Carrot juice is my favorite and the add ins generally range; celery, lemon, orange, ginger, parsley…it is never the same twice. I actually DO have a bug right now but have been too lazy to juice because of it, ha!!
I hope you’re feeling better, when I get the hint of a cold coming on I load up on fresh juices and lots of ginger tea.
Looks yummy! I am not a huge juice person, I would rather do the fruit because I could drink juice mindlessly and have downed way too many calories before I knew it (like gallons of apple juice while studying in college!). But, my husband just bought a nice juicer and we made some orange juice. Fruit here is expensive so when I found a 4 lb bag of oranges I decided to buy them and give it a try. It was a lot frothier than I expected it to be. Now if only apples weren’t nearly $2 a piece!
With hubby being sick, I so need to make this for him!
I just found some Cara Cara oranges at my grocery store too!!! I hope you are feeling better, sending hugs, Terra
