Dark Chocolate ChickPz Giveaway!

I knew I was in trouble when the box arrived…

I debated back-and-forth in my mind about whether to open it or not…

You see, it was in the afternoon, right around “that time of the day.”

You know that time, right???

SNACK TIME!

I figured if I opened the package, I might not be able to eat just a few….{Read more on this at the end of the post!}

But, against my better judgement, I opened it anyways, and found this lovely little pouch…

Seriously…how fun is this???

But the packaging wasn’t the biggest thing on my mind…

But, rather what was INSIDE the package…

Lovely little dark chocolate covered roasted chickpeas, that will make your afternoon chocolate snack time not only deliciously pleasurable, but a little bit healthy as well.

If you saw this post several months ago, you’ll know that I am a fan of The Nutty Bean Company’s ChickPz roasted chickpea snacks, especially the Vanilla Chai and Sesame flavors.

Yum!

Lucky me, the kind folks at The Nutty Bean Company sent me their newest flavor, Dark Chocolate, to try AND share with you!

I have to say I’m now hooked on the dark chocolate too! {And I’m thinking vanilla chai spice combined with dark chocolate would make an incredible snacking experience!}

Not only do they have a delicious rich chocolate flavor, but they also contain a bit of fiber and protein as well {3 grams of each per 1 ounce serving}, plus a decent dose of iron, magnesium, and folic acid.

And while they do contain sugar {12 g/serving}, as far as chocolate snacks go, they make a healthier treat than, say a candy bar, when you’re in a chocolate snacking kind of mode.  In addition they are both nut free and gluten free, although they are made in a facility that also processes nuts, soy, gluten, wheat, and dairy.

I also love that all the ingredients in ChickPz snacks are ones that you recognize.  Things like dry roasted chickpeas, semi-sweet chocolate, and cocoa…

Yep, heard of them all!

In case you’d like to try some chocolatey ChickPz goodness out, I’m hosting a giveaway from November 9th through November 16th.  One lucky winner will receive 4 pouches of  Dark Chocolate Covered ChickPz.

Lucky you!

Good luck everyone!

P.S. If you’re wondering why there are so few ChickPz in my photo, there are a couple of reasons…

First, I have been snacking on them, naturally. I’ve refrained from eating them all, so I could take a photo of them, but it’s been hard….very hard!

And, second, as I was writing this post, my son woke up and came out to sit on my lap and give me my “Good Morning” hug :-)  He just so happened to notice the ChickPz bag sitting on my desk and asked “What that?”

“Chocolate covered chickpeas,” I replied.

“What are chickpeas?” he asked back.

“Beans” I replied.  “You may try one.”

Nibble, nibble, nibble…

“Yum!  Can I have another?”

“Not now,” I replied.  “I need to take a picture of them.  But you can have some more later.”

“PLEASE….” he responded.

“OK, but just one more.”

“Two???” he asked with a twinkle in his sparkling blue eyes…

You can probably guess I gave him two more :-)

Happy snacking!
